Founded in 2008, Ebryx is a global cybersecurity and custom engineering services company headquartered in Greater Boston. Our R&D powers some of the world’s leading products and our cybersecurity services protect tech startups and Fortune 500 enterprises

Ebryx is seeking an experienced business development professional to join its Tech Startups division in Cambridge, Boston. This role is focused on growing the company’s cybersecurity and custom software engineering practices by engaging with tech startup communities, educating them on Ebryx’s services and solutions and bringing them on board as customers. This role involves working from the Cambridge office and spending a large proportion of time in in-person interaction with prospective customers and partners. This position is not suitable for people looking to work primarily from home but limited telecommuting is accepted. Responsibilities

  • Becoming an active member of startup communities in Greater Boston, networking and developing relationships with decision makers and influencers in tech startups in financial, healthcare and other sectors
  • Educating startups on cybersecurity through individual interactions and by organizing talks and webinars
  • Presenting company’s offerings to prospects, maintaining follow-up and closing sales
  • Helping in organizing marketing events and participating in industry events on behalf of the company
  • While focusing on Greater Boston, on occasion traveling outside the area
  • Using the CRM and online prospecting tools effectively
  • Leading junior members of the business development team

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of business development or sales experience in cybersecurity or software development services with a strong track record as a hunter
  • Strong inter-personal skills, passion for meeting new people and a knack for making connections and creating opportunities. A good existing network would be a big plus
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity and software technologies
  • Strong learning skills and curiosity
  • Willingness to wear multiple hats and a high level of commitment
